OSC joins 6ID in 38th “Kampilan” Division Founding Anniversary
The Office for Settler Communities (OSC) under the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM), led by MP Dr. Susana Salvador-Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament and Executive Director of the OSC, joined the celebration of the 38th Founding Anniversary of the 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division, Philippine Army, held on October 20, 2025, at Awang Elementary School, Sitio Lomboy, Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
The event was led by MGen. Donald M. Gumiran, PA, Commander of the 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division and Joint Task Force Central (JTFC), and represented by Lt. Col. Victor Blegario (GSC), Battalion Commander of the 6th Installation Management Battalion, IMCOM, Philippine Army. Anchored on the theme “Sharp Purpose, Steadfast Service & Forged in Peace,” the celebration highlighted the Division’s steadfast commitment to peacebuilding, humanitarian service, and meaningful partnerships with communities across its area of responsibility.
In support of this mission, the Office for Settler Communities spearheaded outreach efforts that brought assistance and joy to schoolchildren and their families. The OSC distributed hygiene kits and 140 food packs, and conducted fun games and learning activities that fostered camaraderie and excitement among the young learners. These activities reflected the OSC’s ongoing dedication to promoting social cohesion, extending government services to grassroots communities, and strengthening the partnership between the Bangsamoro Government and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The 57th Infantry (Masikap) Battalion joined the celebration with their mascot, delighting the children and families, while cooperatives such as the ACDI Cooperative and PAFCPIC extended assistance through community development programs. The BTA Office of MP Anayatin distributed rice packs to participating families, while the Ministry of Health (MOH) and 6th Infantry Division provided free medical assistance and haircut services. Meanwhile, Governor Datu Tucao Mastura supported the outreach through donations of school and learning kits for the pupils of Awang Elementary School.
