Tawi-Tawi | April 15, 2025The Sitangkai community has received vital livelihood assistance through the support of Member of Parliament Dr. Susana Salvador-Anayatin of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), who also serves as Executive Director of the Office for Settler Communities (OSC).

In partnership with Rev. Fr. Rafael Tianero, OMI, the project was valued at PHP 100,000 and aimed to bolster local livelihoods and stimulate economic activity in the area.

Launched on March 12, 2025, the initiative focused on the production of two fishing bancas for the community. These boats, crucial to the daily fishing operations of local residents, have now been completed—an achievement documented through photos capturing the construction process.
