Cotabato City Holds Solidarity Rally for Gaza Amid 2025 Sadaqah Drive

Cotabato City | April 9, 2025 — Peace advocates, faith-based groups, and civil society organizations gathered at the Cotabato City Plaza on Wednesday for a Solidarity Rally for Palestine, organized as part of the 2025 Sadaqah Drive for Gaza.

The event, held under the theme “From Cotabato City to Gaza: A Lifeline of Hope and Humanity,” was spearheaded by the League of Bangsamoro Organizations, Inc. (LBO). It aimed to raise humanitarian awareness, prayers, and donations for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Member of Parliament Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority and Executive Director of The Office for Settler Communities was one of the invited speakers. In her address, she expressed strong support for global peace and unity through sincere dialogue and humanitarian efforts.

“Through our collective efforts and commitment, we have the opportunity to help build a future where peace is no longer just a hope, but a reality for all,” she said.

The speech concluded with a powerful message of faith and hope:

“May world peace prevail.”

The rally ended with collective prayers and expressions of solidarity from across the Bangsamoro region, reflecting the region’s unified call for justice, compassion, and peace for the Palestinian people.

BARMM Supports Orphans & Small Businesses in DOS

Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte | March 26, 2025  – Fourteen (14) orphan learners and four (4) indigent families in Datu Odin Sinsuat received much-needed financial assistance today through the Kupkop Program and Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) Program of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) . This initiative was funded by the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2023 of MP Dr. Susana Salvador-Anaytin . Under the Kupkop Program , each of the 14 orphan learners received P5,000 to help with their education. Meanwhile, the BSK Program granted P15,000 each to four indigent families —some of whom will use it as startup capital for their small business, while others who already have existing businesses will use the aid to expand and sustain their livelihood .
