The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) continues to strengthen healthcare services in remote communities with the turnover of a medical land ambulance to Barangay Manila Group, Wao, Lanao del Sur. This initiative was made possible through the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2024 of Member of Parliament Dr. Susana Salvador-Anaytin, in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) - BARMM.
The official turnover ceremony took place at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City, with the presence of MOH Minister MP Dr. Kadil Sinolinding Jr., MP Dr. Susana Salvador-Anaytin, and Barangay Chairman Hon. Joefe Caralde, who represented the recipient community. This significant contribution is also part of the broader commitment of the BARMM government to improve healthcare access and emergency response capabilities in underserved areas. Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim laid the foundation for such initiatives, and Chief Minister MP Alduraof A. Macacua has pledged to continue these efforts.
The Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Manila Group, Wao, Lanao del Sur passed Resolution No. 11, Series of 2025, titled A Resolution of Gratitude, in recognition of the invaluable support provided through this program. The resolution specifically highlights the provision of the ambulance under TDIF 2024 of MP Dr. Susana Salvador-Anaytin as a crucial enhancement to the barangay's emergency medical response, ensuring immediate care and safe transportation to healthcare facilities. Given the considerable distance between Wao and the nearest hospitals in Marawi, the new ambulance will play a vital role in saving lives and providing urgent medical support.
MP Dr. Susana Salvador-Anaytin, Executive Director of the Office for Settler Communities, emphasized the importance of this initiative in addressing the healthcare needs of the community. "Hangarin po nating maiangat ang kalagayang pangkalusugan ng ating mamamayan ng Bangsamoro."
This turnover highlights the continued efforts of MP Dr. Anaytin and the OSC
in providing essential support to communities in need, reinforcing BARMM’s commitment to improving healthcare services and emergency response.
