Chief Minister Macacua Presides Over First Expanded Cabinet Meeting

 

Bangsamoro officials from Ministries, Offices, Agencies, BTA Parliament, and OCM convene for the first Expanded Cabinet Meeting at Bajau Hall, Cotabato City.

Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua led his first Expanded Cabinet Meeting on March 28, 2025, at Bajau Hall, 2nd Floor, Office of the Chief Minister, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City. The meeting brought together officials from Ministries, Offices, and Agencies, as well as Members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament and the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM).

The agenda covered key governance matters, including:

  • Orientation on the Cabinet Handbook – providing guidance on the roles and responsibilities of Cabinet members.

  • Cabinet Legislative Agenda – aligning the executive’s priorities with legislative initiatives.

  • Updates on the Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) – addressing issues and opportunities for regional development.

  • Preparations for the upcoming Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) Meeting – ensuring coordination between the Bangsamoro Government and the National Government.

Among those present was Office for Settler Communities (OSC) Executive Director and BTA Member of Parliament Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, actively engaging in discussions on policies affecting settler communities in the Bangsamoro region.

The meeting underscored Chief Minister Macacua’s commitment to strengthening governance, ensuring policy coherence, and fostering collaboration across all government entities. As BARMM moves forward under his leadership, the administration continues to uphold moral governance and inclusive development for the entire Bangsamoro community.
